Topic: Looking for shop in Ontario to install a 2 way Pro Start in my 2001 Civic DX-G..

Hi All,

  I got a great deal on a Pro Start 2 way system a number of months back. Trouble is that no one seems to want to tackle the install. Cdn Tire wants $360 + the cost of the bi pass box! Kind of pricey to me.

My mechanic doesn't want to take it on and people I approach aren't interested in doing it.

I travel all over Ontario so I am open to pretty much any shop anywhere as I will just book the install over the phone and have it done while I am in the area.

Feel free to mention ideas on this thread or via a PM...

For anyone else checking out this thread the details are as follows:

The car in question is a 2001 Civic DX-G 4 door which was the first year of the 7'th gen. It has power locks; but the only powered switch is in the driver's door. Being a DX-G the car is an auto and the key has a transistor so I believe that this install would need a bypass box of some sort.

The system in question is a Pro Start 2 way system. There is no model # or name that I can ascertain. On the side of the box there is a number: 34-061302. I want the remote locking more than anything. Now that I am using the Civic for a sales vehicle it is a real pain to get items from the rear seat. I need to unlock the car, flip the lock on the driver's door then open the rear door. Then open the driver's door again to engage the locks. The remote locking this system will give me will be more than worth it!

I'm also interested in this topic. My wife has an 03 civic and we picked up a pro starter from Canadian tire but never got around to getting it installed because it was really expensive.
