Test Drive: With its turbocharged 260-hp four-cylinder engine, retro 1949-ish styling, and mini-wagon bodystyle, the HHR SS offers a unique combination of raw turbocharged performance, nostalgic American styling cues and surprising practicality, says Editor-in-Chief, Greg Wilson. By FAR...and I mean by FAAAAARRRR my favorite GM product. I love this thing...inside and out. Quirky styling (which I like), great powertrain with room to improve...loads of space..great brakes, launch control. This is a winner. I much prefer it over the UGLY Cobalt. Too bad we get raped (as usual) on pricing, otherwise I'd be really tempted to get one... |

I think the HHR looks ten times better than the PT Cruiser ever did, inside and out. Certainly a winner for GM, especially with that drivetrain. I love the panel-van version... would make a fun delivery vehicle in SS guise, I think. |

The local Boston Pizza uses a white HHR as a delivery vehicle. |

I must admit, the HHR has grown on me. It's too bad Chrysler let the PT Cruiser languish. Chrysler should have given it an update but instead we get the likes of the Caliber. |

Put me in the camp with those that think this vehicle is attractive and fun-looking. With the SS option, it also has some cojones to go with the funky/retro looks. I like it and at about $31K, it's not a bad deal at all. |

I too admit the HHR styling has grown on me. I've always liked it from the rear, but not many other angles till recently. The SS Turbo has to be very entertaining to drive... wonder how many and to who Panel SS's will sell?
That said, everything about the interior of this vehicle is wrong to me. |

Put me on the “I like” list as well. Having practicality and some muscle under the hood to bring a smile to your face while driving in the mundane world of mini vans, CUV’s, and vanilla sedans is a good thing. |
