::) Get over it Greg, The Forester is a new vehicle from Subaru and why would Canadian Driver not want to review the top rated new CUV from Consumer Reports.

Do you need a tissue Greg? :'(

Another day on Canadian Driver, another pointless post.

Any new or updated model deserves attention and few Subaru models are just that hence the number of articles.

I've got nothing agaisnt Subies. I just don't understand the excessive focus the site seems to place on them.

Subaru sends a lot of press cars, so a lot of journalists drive them and we publish the articles.  Subaru was pushing their '08's as the new models were coming out

According to your stats Subie is tied for 4th with Nissan, Mazda and Toyota. Does it bug you when any of these top 7 get another review before anybody else?

If I was Subaru, I'd be steamed that Ford, Honda and Audi got more reviews than I did.

BT how would you compare your Outback to the new Forester?

I guess I didn't. :-\

The new Forester had just arrived at the dealership when I was trying out the Legacy and Outback. I looked it over a bit and showed Mrs_T, but it just didn't click with either one of us.

If I remember correctly, It had more headroom and a taller (vertically) but shorter (horizontally) cargo area than the Legacy/Outback. I didn't drive it, so I can't comment on it. The price for the Touring version might have been less than the Outback with the Touring option, but the interest rates were much higher, but I can't remember for certain.

I guess it looks like the rest of the mainstream CUVs now, where the old Forester was pretty distinctive.

My dad and I drove one on Thursday.

It felt very soft and floaty, and the steering was too light; the top two things my dad hates. He said he'd rather drive the Odyssey!  :-\

Wow !... I feel the same floaty-ness when I get out of my 04 Sienna, and get into my 99 Forester. I thought it was due to my Forester's age, and mileage. Didn't expect the same comment on the new Forester.  Wasn't the rear suspension changed to help with that, or was it only to improve rear cargo space?
