Used Vehicle Review:
Lincoln Navigator, 2003-2008

Lincoln Navigator, 2003-2008It may be a gas hog, but a used Lincoln Navigator can be purchased pretty cheaply these days, says Contributing Editor, Chris Chase.  "Choose a 2005 (or newer) Navigator and you can expect to pay something in the area of $25,000" he notes.

Look mommy - that whale beached itself.......

That's right, Timmy, because it exhausted it's supply of food.  It dragged itself out of the water on those tiny 18" flippers.......

Can I kick sand at it mommy?

Sure, son.  Sure.

TOL:

Heh. :rofl2:

$25K for an 05? No way. Wait six months, and these things'll be $10K at Mannheim. A year- try, $6K. The market is running sprinting away from this product.

Ever driven one of these things?  TERRIBLE!  Anyone criticizing cars like the Corolla for not being sharp in the twisties should try out one of these dinosaurs.  We had a rental for a day, and I almost needed gravol for every corner.  Sheesh.  They might have looked cool to some (wannabe ganstas) but now they look like massive cartoons driving down the road.
No place I'd rather be...

I rented one in Arizona a few years ago and drove it from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon.  It actually got 21 mpg on the hwy, but that was with me babying it the entire way, driving 60-65 mph the entire way up I-17.

Handling?  jeez... I guess if you just stepped out of a Peterbuilt dump truck, the Navigator might seem like a nice handling ride.

Even down here in 'truckville' Okla, people are dumping these monsters left and right for Priuses ...

Hahaha! I'd forgotten about that! The thing could turn on a dime, actually, as long as you were barely moving.  :rofl2:

Not sure how the used values compare but I've always thought that GM did a better job in this market segment with the Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade.
My first ever GM ownership experience  can best be described as   "Fool me once...."

Now why would anyone buy a Navigator over a LX 570? Pricing maybe?

Well, she does have to compensate for her height (or lack thereof!). ;D
