Topic: Looking for Honda Civic DX-G @ Montreal

Hi all,

I'm glad I found this website! What a resourceful forum...!

I'm hoping to buy a Honda Civic DX-G relatively soon. I'm located in Montreal. Has anyone had any recent experience with buying this vehicle? possibly in Montreal? I've spoken with APA, and unfortunately, Quebec APA doesn't cover Honda Civics.. Any recent price would be of help.

Also, I was told that Civics are in high demand in MTL area recently. Is this true? I was hoping to start driving in July. This is my first vehicle, so I'm quite a bit nervous..

Isn't the Civic the best selling car in Canada? I'd say it's in pretty high demand especially with the recent gas prices 

That being said, are you looking for a used or new one? Buying, financing or leasing?

You should be able to negotiate a little bit, maybe $500-$1000 off the MSRP. A forum member was able to save ~$700 (IIRC) on his new '09 Corolla, and that's a new design and all. I got $800 off the Rab's MSRP.

Yeah I hear civics are popular, but I didn't think they'd run out of stock.

I'm looking for a new one. Financing with down around 10~15k. I considered Corolla too, but I decided that I like the digital speedometer ( guess I'm a minority ). Corolla does seem to give more bang for the buck. Rabbit was definitely on the top of my list when I started shopping, but the higher price sorta made me pull away.. I'm sure it's a fantastic ride.

Try a different dealer.. see what they say.. I find it hard to believe that the whole city of Montreal is out of Civics.. like c'mon...
