Why worry about residual when the thing will go up in flames anyway!

Ordinarily, you don't need to worry about it, however, the value of the residual does give the lessee another option at the end depending upon what it is.  If you absolutely know you will just hand it back and you can live with the monthly payments after all the taxes and fees are added in and what you'll pay for full insurance over the 24 months, then it really doesn't matter.  It's funny though, how 24 months can change the circumstances of how you look at the whole deal.

Hard plastic-shmastic - what a bunch of crap! It's no worth than in any Toyota or even Bimmer.

Actually the dash is of the soft variety which is quite rare these days.  I must be in the vast minority here but I think it's decent looking vehicle that seems to have a lot of content for the money.  It even has decent size rotors behind those nice alloy wheels.  I don't get all the hate.

I hear ya.....for alot of people if it doesn't have a European or Japanese nameplate....it's just not good enough it'll never be good enough. People need something to :censor: about and the big three are easy fodder.
Political extremism involves two prime ingredients: an excessively simple diagnosis of the world's ills, and a conviction that there are identifiable villains back of it all. - John W. Gardner

Chrysler has known about the issue since mid-March, but no actual fires have been reported as of this time.

Worry about it when it actually happens ... some might want to make it happen after ownership though.
