How many KMs do you drive in a year.
« on: May 26, 2008, 11:46:53 am »
I was going through the maintainence log of the Dakota on the weekend and was amazed that I only put about 8k kms on it for the year.

Family of four. Numerous road trips through the Praries and into BC too. I was amazed at the low totals.

The past year:

Dakota: 8k kms
Volvo V70R 16k kms
Volvo P1800 2k kms

Mountain bike ??

How much do you drive?

13000km/yr average for the Vibe.
3000km on the Yam last year, likely twice that this year.
750km or so on the Trek, likely higher this year.

We put ~30,000 km/year on our car with the majority of them being highway miles for skiing, cottaging & family.

8,000km on the 2002 Focus (average over the 6 years, but will be much lower now with the new car getting the most useage. Probably drop to around 2,000km yearly.

Car - 30,000 / year - don't drive to work.
Bicycles - 7,000 / year - Work bike gets 80% of the miles. Road bike only gets ridden on sunny days.

About 30,000 on the Pathfinder, 80% business/20% personal, much less on the Sienna.  This is based on the 3 1/2 yrs I have had the Pathy but it looks to be more for this year   :(

But with the cost of fuel, we will be doing less personal kms on the Pathy and transferring those to the Sienna as it has lower operating costs.

Between 12,000 and 15,000 kms, depending upon how many road trips I do in the summer.

After almost 9 months the Versa has about 9200 km's on it, including a couple of trips to Alberta and the Kootenays. We seldom drive more than we have to - no summer cottage, you know  :'( - so my average is usually 12,000 km's per year, it should be about the same this year.

I put on 12-13k per year on the Murano, almost entirely weekend city driving (a lot on the DVP, which I consider city due to the speed of 4km/h averaged)

4 km/h? You might as well walk. ;D
