Yesterday the thought did occur to me to get black rims.  I'll bet that'd look hot!

For some reason I never really care for black rims

You could paint them black.   I didn't like black rims but they can grow on you after a while if you have the right style of rim and colour on the car.   Some combos don't work.

Grrrrr.... scuffed one of my rims the other day.  Anyone know approximately how much it costs to get repaired and what is normally done to repair?

I seem to remember some magazine having the same thing happen with Honda's new Accord.  I wonder if it's something that happens with any new car with fancy rims, or if Honda's wheels re more prone to scuffing (i.e., it's the wheel, not the rubber, that first touches the curb.

Just hand washed and cleaned the rims today.  Scuff on rim isn't as bad as I thought.  Liveable.  Polished it with Mequiars Quick Detailer and used Mequiars xtreme shine on the tires.  Looks sweet.

Send the rims out for powdercoating.  Would look good in smoke or graphite...

Contact member "Allen".  I got him a new OEM wheel for his TL for $158 shipped to Canada....

Congrats, Wet One... Nice ride!

Sorry to hear about the scuff (ALREADY???)  Better than dog puke, road paint or mascara, I guess.   ;D

black rims with a polished lip would look hot on any black car. Tint will also be needed. :)

Have to be careful what I do.  It's a leased vehicle so tinting yes.... powder coating the rims... no.  I'd have to change the rims completely if I want something different.

Thanks Brigitte!  Man you don't forget anything do you?!? :)  That's why I love ya so much!!!!!!

As lame as this is going to sound in regards to the black rims....

Wait until you've put winter shoes on the car. The steelies will undoubtedly be black and you will give you an 'idea' of what black rims would look like.

Lame I know, but at least you'll live with the black wheels before investing in them.

It might be just me but I can't see a real estate agent having shiny black alloys on their car.

Try silver steelies maybe.

Of course it shouldn't matter but.....

I dislike that look personally, bit too blingin' for my taste, I think (all) black rims can look great, depends on the car though.  In the UK they have a sort of motorsport association, as many of the touring cars used to race with black or white alloys.

We had the Anthracite alloys on our Honda, looked great IMHO.
