According to reports, VW's free service program launches along with the new Tiguan sport/utility for "North America". Can anyone clear up if this is for Canada too? Below is a report from AutoWeek:

Procrastinating about taking in your new set of wheels for routine maintenance? Volkswagen thinks it has the answer, and it's rolling out a free service program for 2009 models.
It covers the first three maintenance intervals--10,000, 20,000 and 30,000 miles--and is good for three years or 36,000 miles. VW says that 5000-mile service is no longer required for most of its vehicles.
The program will launch on the automaker's new crossover, the Tiguan. It also includes a courtesy checkup at dealerships within 90 days or 6000 miles so new owners can ensure that their vehicles are running properly.
