13 Year Old, still got some shine.

Actually it's full of scratches, dings, and dents but you can't really see them in the pictures.  Mechanically sound after tune up, last tank gave me 6.36L/100KM.

New this year: Falken Azenis RT615 x 4 from TireTrends (boxing week special!), used SIR Strut Bar $20, MP3 player from Canadian Tire, 2 busted speakers replaced.

Is it a MT?

:iagree:  And any del Sol I see listed is asking stupid money.   ::)  They're neat, though, love the T-tops.  How do you find the power - I've heard del Sol's are on the heavy side, and the driving experience suffers for it, but I've never actually driven one...

Well, mine ain't the rocket pocket (B16) version, but I would still consider it a "fun" car for the summer.  It's heavier than the Civic hatch from the same generation, but you're guaranteed to seat 2 fewer adults.  Mileage is excellent with the manual, power is adequate as long as the full rev range is taken advantage of.  Guess it helps that I only weight 133lbs.

They aren't worth that much in the books, but if you see one that's in excellent running condition, that means the owner must have taken good care of it, and you know how expensive a trip to the shop can cost these days.

Are the parts shared among the similar generation Civic?

A lot of the mechanical parts are compatible between the 5th and 6th generation Civics, one of the reasons why the they are such popular cars, there is no shortage of parts from OEM, aftermarket, or even the wreckers.

Body parts are obviously different.

Looks good.
Funny, my Ex-Wife almost purchased one but whilst test driving it made her ill and car sick so she bought the other choice, a V6 MX-3. I think this was in 1992.

Looks great!  I rode in a Honda Civic of a similar age a few months ago and it was absolutely solid and it looks like yours is just as good.  Impressive for such an old vehicle.  Did these have VTEC or is this too early for that?

Nice car, looks to me like it could've been mid-engined.

A very nice example of a cool car. I used to really love the CRX and I remember the Del Sol well as a co-worker of mine bought one in Ottawa to replace his Turbo Sunbird. The Del Sol was WAY more refined than the Pontiac and he never went back to North American cars again.

Your is in wonderful shape and I wish you many more years of fun in the sun with it.

It has a SOHC VTEC (D16).  Not a powerful engine for todays standard, but it would still be a fuel economy leader! :)
