Used Vehicle Review: Though the Cadillac SRX crossover hasn't proven as reliable as the CTS sedan on which it is based, it's "about mid-pack in the luxury SUV field," says Contributing Editor, Chris Chase. "Brutal" depreciation means used examples are relatively cheap, he says. Read the article | View the photos | All The Used Vehicles

I love the looks of the SRX... this and the Murano are probably the most unique CUVs on the market. I think I like the SRX a little better, though. The problems with the sunroof scare me a little, though... shattering for no reason? |

Will the SRX be doomed with the arrival of the CTW? A CTS based wagon? |

I get the feeling it's on it's way out after 09. I don't think it ever had the sales GM hoped for. Kind of a shame really,I've had my 07 for a couple of months now and really like it so far. The interior fit and finish is at least as good as the RX350 I looked at and the handling is better. |

How many times has the sunroof spontaneously combusted on you? |

How many times has the sunroof spontaneously combusted on you? So far so good....after two months I've even given up wearing the helmet and safety goggles. |

I think the SRX is the best looking of all of these luxury crossovers. |

I think it's good looking until you get the rear quarter, the back of this vehicle just looks so damn disjointed to me. |

It has about the same mileage as any other SUV/CUV in the same class I would look at one used but not new, GM does have a good warranty on it, Also there is usually a Caddy dealer close by, not like the other luxuryury brands where it could be a couple hour drive for service |

$60,000 NEW and $20K......at 3.5 year OLD !! I wouldn't get too excited by the depreciation figures in that article. Real life depreciation on any vehicle is never quite as bad as these reported red book figures. A quick search on Autotrader of 2004 SRXs showed that out of 42 available (outside of Ontario), only seven are priced at $19999 or less. And of course, a 2004 model could've been purchased in 2003 which could make it almost 5 years old. |

IT is the 2005's the article lists as $22K Now...$59K NEW......... Sheesh, do I have to fill in all the blanks? You're the one stating $60K to $20K depreciation in 3.5 years. Okay, so doing the same search for 2005s shows 27 available, one of which is $21995 with next cheapest being $24998. Must be some special math that comes up with $22K as average retail. |

Don't forget dealers/brokers have brought in a lot of high end late model used cars such as these from the US in the last year. I don't know what an 05 V6 AWD listed for in the US but I bet it was around 40K. I wonder if the US imports may have depressed the used values in this market segment and caused the depreciation to seem overly large? |
