First Drive: With a longer wheelbase, wider track, and a new front suspension, the 2009 Infiniti FX has a smoother ride and even sportier handling, reports Senior Editor, Paul Williams. The FX45 has been replaced by the FX50 with a 5.0-litre V8 engine. More: Read the article | View the photos | All The First Drives

This is quite an interesting niche vehicle, not a typical SUV. The BMW X6 appears to be an answer to the FX series.
I would like to see these two compared. High strung, expensive cross over vehicles, designed for 4 people maximum and not much cargo space. These do stand out among the crowd. |

Looks aggressive but I think I like the look of the previous version better.
That said, that new V-8 probably means there's a M50 or Q50 in the pipeline. Maybe even a G50 to compete with the M3? |

5 litre engine at $1.20/litre gas. I wonder how much 21" winter tires cost. "dark tinted headlights" is a new one on me. I have become accustomed to the idea that automatic transmissions can be "even sportier"
Not for me. |

I liked the look and sound of the previous generation. This is an ugly one though. This is a very strange segment and I see BMW bought into it too with the X6. |

That probably more like 1.30 since it probably takes 91 |

I agree. The previous generation appealed to me a lot more. This one looks like a beluga whale from head-on. |
