I'm buying new tires this weekend, and wondering which is supost to be the better tire between

the YOKOHAMA GEOLANDER A/T VERSUS THE TOY OPENCOUNTRY A/T

for a honda pilot awd

meant for a summer tire not as my winter tire, for mountain life and highway

The Geo's came standard with the Subaru Forester and we could only get three years out of them. Not happy with them at all.

Check out Tiretrends or Tire Rack for reviews on the various tires from people who have bought them and see what their thoughts are.

The Geo's were a very popular tire a few years back around here but as noted they tend to be rather soft and did not wear well.  Good winter traction though.

The OC's are popular right now but I do not know anyone who has them, so can not offer any comments on them.  Personally I would not buy either but would look at the Bridgestone Duller Revo's.  These have a very good reputation but may be a bit of overkill for a Pilot depending on what kind of driving you are doing.

The Yokohama AT-S and Toyo Open Country are pretty comparable. If one is less expensive I would go with the savings.
