Your APA Buying Experience?
« on: March 24, 2008, 10:57:05 am »
I told my parents to sign up for an APA membership so they could get a good deal on whatever they end up choosing.  Just wondering what sort of experience other people on here have had when they have used the APA and their referral system.

Thanks.

I used APA - I think the info they provide and the turn-around time is excellent! I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

Would the wait for the TDI to come out in the A7?
Then she can look a green real estate salesperson, I'm driving a clean and fuel efficient SUV.
Just a thought

I dont think the environment is a big priority or concern of theirs so I don't think they'll wait.  For some reason, after waiting for 5 months, it has become urgent, that is until something else comes up.

I used APA for my Volvo and it was a very easy buying experience.  I felt confident that I got a pretty good price.  I also used the buying option.

Used it once way back in '00 for my mom's Celica. Again used it for my purchase in '01 but didn't go to their assigned dealer as I found another who gave a better price and had the model configuration I was after. But do recommend them if you're short of time or lack knowledge.

The issue we're running up against is that we can't find one with the options we want, so I doubt APA would be any use in this situation (unless my parents are willing to wait a couple of months for one to be produced).

needs the convenience package which has GPS and rear-view camera (both a necessity)...problem we're finding is there's only a couple Q7s in the country that have a convenience package, but they also have other uselss (towing package?) options that aren't needed

That's the problem when there's so many different combinations. You (or I) think it's great - and is for factory ordering, but never seems to be one in the country just how you like it on ground. Would think there's got to be one around with a low cost extra option or two that might be acceptable?

S-Line is a necessity, right?  :stick:
