The 1 seems taller and narrower in those pics and it is good to see the cars in the same colour. I do not like that new pedestrian friendly front end particularly but I like it more than the E90/92 and less than the E46

I love this comment: "the 135i headlights make the car look wide awake and ready to go. The e46 looks sleepy!" Funny thing is, I thought the same thing... I do like the more angular lines of the 3, but overall the 1 is gorgeous and the 3 is lacking a little something. Looks brilliant in white, especially with the red seats. |

That E46 is a 8 year old design ( if not a bit more) with just a minor facelift in 2003. It would be good if the same pics could have been taken with the current 3-er as well |

Of course, some of us also find WRX's and bat-winged Supras tolerable in the styling department, so who are we to criticize. Heheh...I'm not crazy about the spoiler on my Supra...though I did find out that it IS functional, so I feel a bit better about it. 66lbs. of downforce at 90 MPH...LOL..... |

Available in 11 days and you still can't build one on their website. So much for living in the electronic age. They apparently don't need it...Budds in Oakville had taken deposits on 30 1-series cars BEFORE the auto show. The white one at the Toronto Show looked good...and felt "right"...but very, very expensive. |

Who'd do such a thing. S'more pics of the AutoShow white one... and a sissy-coloured, 128i. |

That off-center wheel would drive me insane. I wonder if it's a product of the fact that the 1-Series is basically a shrunken 3-Series? Maybe not everything could be shrunken proportionately? |

Ok, Thanks, I see it now in this pic. I don't think it would matter that much. |

Given the angle of that picture, I don't think you actually can get an accurate representation of the off-set wheel. It's so subtle that without being told, I doubt many people would notice. When I sat in the one at the show, I didn't notice anything out of sorts. |

In re-reading the article, I noticed Grant wrote, "With a sunroof as standard equipment,..." -- everything I've seen from BMW Canada indicates that the sunroof is optional, not standard.
Dave, I believe you had an "official" option list at hand, can you confirm? |

A sunroof is standard equipment in the US...NOT CANADA. We get heated seats instead. p.s. People are ordering this car without having seen it?! That's madness. Who would do such a thing?! Maybe someone who has driven a 335i coupe and wants that sweet N54 engine in a smaller/more nimble package.... |

Depends on demand. I've known people to put deposits down on unreleased cars with a long waiting list, then sell their spot on the list. If the car is in very high demand (i.e. GT-R), one can make a bucket of money doing this - assuming of course that the dealer allows you to sell your spot in line.
Failing that, I suppose one could buy a GT-R for MSRP and then sell it as new for more... but a 1-series, not so sure. |

Inside line rated a 135i 0-60 at 5 sec, but a 335i sedan went 4.8. The 135i will do the slalom quicker, but you give up style, size and luxury. I would take a 335i coupe with the 19" wheels myself. What is intriguing is the 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe - did think I would ever consider buying a hyundai. Car looks pretty hot except...give us a real interior...can't they copy the A3 or R8 interior already?

Jim, I agree that the 335i is more desirable, but it costs $10k more than a 135i ($52k v. $42k base MRSP). Those 19"s on the 335i? Only a $3,500.00 option. p.s You can't expect a $100k + R8 interior in a Hyundai. |

You can expect a 32K A3 interior, though. It is surprising that automakers make such bad products. If all the journalist say Audi interiors are consistently rated highly, then why not copy it. Good point on the R8 interior - it was more wishful thinking...hahaha
