The interior has a E46 look to it.
Looks like it will be a nice toy for someone ;D

Took a long look at the 135i at the autoshow, and was very impressed with the interior.  Certainly a place I would be happy to spend some time...  :D

Still not entirely sure about the looks but certainly it will be a wonderful steer.

Interest rate differential between 1 and 3 series makes the latter a better choice for some, I'm sure.

Interest rate notwithstanding, if one buys a 4 seater car because one might from time to time use the back seat then a 3 series is a better idea.

And.  IMHO the 1 series is much better looking all round than the current 3-er, it ALMOST looks as good as the previous 3 series.  8)   Now just add a dipstick and proper tires....

Available in 11 days and you still can't build one on their website.  ??? So much for living in the electronic age.

I'll have to see the 1-series in person before passing final judgment but the E92 is hard to beat imho.

Agree on tires. eDipstick I could perhaps live with over the course of a 4 year lease, then I would get nervous. On the other hand, every time someone talks about oil life monitors that post about predictable, linear ZDP decay soothes me.

Funny..I think the 1 Series looks butt-ugly and stubby in person.  Much prefer the look of the 3 Series...

I don't mind short cars.  I just don't like the general lines of the E90.

Each to his own  and I have not seen a 1 series coupe in the flesh only 1 series hatches in Euland.

I need to see this in the metal, before I can pass judgement.  I would love to see an article comparing this with a 2002tii...  Would be fun to see how the new one compares with its ancestor...

The White 135i at the Toronto Auto Show (with red leather innards) was a good lookin' machine.  When you consider how much fun it'll be to drive with all that glorious power, I think it'll become even more attractive -- but Rrocket, I do agree that it looks a little stubby in pictures and in real life.  Of course, some of us also find WRX's and bat-winged Supras tolerable in the styling department, so who are we to criticize.  :)

The e92s are stunning.  Every angle shows perfect styling and proportioning.  The e90s... still not sold on their styling.

Not the best photos, but   The stubiness is fantastic!

Have to sit in another to see if the left-of-centre steering wheel would bother me over the long term. Can't believe it's not mentioned elsewhere - I can't be imagining it?!

:o OMG. I dont think its a coincidence the shots were taken on the boat landscape  ::)  The belly line also reminded me of my German ( ;D ) Sheppard puppy from long ago when it would eat smth funny and get a bloated stomach.

Here's a good side-by-side comparison of the 135i and E46 330Ci: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4755

That isn't exactly what I will call a would-be 1-series driver.  :) maybe the bashers.

Quite right Initial!   I would be a 3 series driver as I am now.   I will go and try on a 1-er for size but I suspect that I'll find it a bit tight esp when wearing a winter jacket.
