Love the shot of it lined up with all the older Skylines, too.

:iagree:  Any chance you'd post that picture in wallpaper size?  (1600x1200, or possibly 1280x1024)?

Laurance says sure, no problem. This is 1600x1200:

Sweeeeet.

Where'd the other Skylines come from?  I'm thinking they weren't arranged by Nissan PR.

Laurance just... has a way of making things happen. Honestly, he probably just knows where the Skyline drivers meet and went there with the GT-R. One can only imagine how excited they'd be for a chance to see the thing up close.

Thanks for providing this!

Though, I still think that these are my favourite pics from Laurance: http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/ly/evo_vs_sti.htm

(pic 3, 5, 9, 10, and 11 on the page)    Any chance we can get these in full size?     Really, I'd like to renew my comment that CanadianDriver should look into adding a 'wallpaper' section to their site!

Thank Laurance, not me!

A good suggestion about the wallpaper section. We've already got the "print" and "save" functions on the photo enlargement page. I'll talk to the guys about wallpapers. Some of the photos (the ones we get from manufacturers) might have too much copyright stuff tied up in them to do this, but anything from our contributors is much easier to deal with, usually.

Like I said, I'll mention this and see what comes of it.  8)

Those older Skylines...

...were driven up to the Tim Hortons by some people that I know - I did a story a few months ago on people that had imported them from Japan. A couple of emails and phone calls was all it took to get them to come out.

Nissan is working on a 20" winter tire package for the GT-R with Bridgestone; it's not available yet. The car didn't have snow tires because we literally drove it away from the Toronto auto show stand - after much begging on my part. Had it been raining or snowing, the story wouldn't have come together the way it did. Even then, I was very, very careful - and there was a Nissan rep in a chase car to make sure of that.

Any wallpaper requests - email me at yap at mac dot com.
