I'd rather buy the Montana SV6 with the 3.9L V6, for approx. 19k (saw advertisements).
Mine: 2004 Acura TSX
Family: 2005 Honda Odyssey EX, 2006 BMW 330i

Really? All I hear about the Montana is that it breaks a lot. So it is cheap for a reason. :)

I think I would risk it and take the Freestar over the Montana. I seen a base at  about the same price.

Loss of the short version is regretable. I think it was plenty long enough. The styling of this van is good though but would be improved with a shorter wheelbase in my opinion.

I think the Journey will fill the gap.

I think the Journey will fill the gap.

I looked at one of those $20,000 Journeys in the Chrysler lot yesterday, and I think they are going to sell a lot of them. It's a lot for the price. ABS, ESP, side airbags, power locks, power windows, power mirrors, heated mirrors, tilt/telescope, A/C, Auto, big 16 inch tires, good ground clearance.

And no 'van stigma' it's actually quite a nice looking SUV.

Amazing really, especially for me who's current vehicle has NONE, as in zero, of those features.
