In other words, the probability of a disaster increases exponentially with the power to weight ratio of the vehicle, when a stupidly reckless driver (aka invincible teenager) is involved.

I have to agree with that. When I was a kid I did some really stupid driving most weekends with a Buick Skylark full of buddies. Usually with them egging me on. We definitely had some close calls but we weren't even remotely concerned with our own mortality at that point. If I had access to and M5 or a CTS-V instead of the Skylark I agree that it would be significantly more likely that any close calls may have ended in tragedy. Not proud of being an idiot kid, but it was reality.

Amen to that. Your not alone - the speedo says 100mph so one figures the car can do that and a bunch of guys get together and....well will it? You have to know so.....

Heres another recent story of teens unfortunately getting in way over their heads.I'm thinking  graduated lisence system but i suppose these kids can do themselves in with a Civic as easily as a high performance machine.http://www.wfsb.com/news/15102357/detail.html ::)
