This is on the CBC site (
http://www.cbc.ca/photogallery/consumer/972/
), 10 show cars from the 50's to early this century.
Too bad Ford did not get the Nucleon in production, we would have no fuel worries

"Ford Nucleon
William Ford poses with a model of the company's concept car, the Nucleon in June 1957. A small nuclear reactor in the rear of the car was supposed to power the vehicle. The passenger compartment was to be built to provide adequate protection from the nuclear reactor. Only one Nucleon was ever built. (Slim Aarons/Getty Images)"
LOL
Interesting Idea.... millions of little nuclear reactors driving around.

That's easy....the hard part is finding a reliable source of di-lithium crystals

Ford and nuclear power. Two things that should be mutually exclusive by law.

it did indeed because the USA would not sell the Germans any Helium. But only for lift not for motive power IIRC
