It looks nice, and at under $20k to start, seems well priced.  I cringe at what the interior will look like, through.

Exactly what I thought when I first saw the title.

With that pricing, yet another big seller for Chrysler in Canada.

Saw it yesterday at the Detroit show. Yuck. I thought the interior design and some of the materials were very disappointing. It's kinda ugly inside and very vanilla outside (looks a little better in pictures than it really is). It's the minivan of SUVs and since people are getting out of minivans because they are not cool, don't see the appeal at all. Other than the low price of course. The fake chrome is especially horrible. The gauges looks like a speedometer you may have put on your 10-speed bike in the mid-seventies.

The third row back seat release is a pull strap by the headrests that's hard to operate; considering the industry standard is moving toward user-friendly release handles located on the sides of the cargo area, this design is very subpar...

Looking at the photos, Chrysler has done the impossible -- made an interior that looks WORSE than the Dodge Avenger's. What were they thinking with that dashboard design? It looks like a Studebaker Lark updated to the 21st century. Unbelieveable. The entire design staff at Chrysler needs to go.

Agree, it makes their decision to kill those bargain basement priced short wheel base Caravans (hugely popular around here) make more sense.

Note where the radio is located. The vehicle at the auto show had a NAV radio positioned a little higher than knee level. IMO an ergonomic non-sense as consulting the Navigation system takes your eyes completely off the road and is a bigger distraction than most nav systems already are.  No No

I think the Journey has handsome exterior styling and the interior has improved form previous Dodge offerings. I agree with Erik and think it will be a big hit with the pricing and practically of this CUV.  The cooler in the floor idea is a good idea….pass me a Stella!  Smiley

The whole idea of vehicles with good passenger and cargo capacity, car like handling and available AWD for winter driving makes a lot of sense to me. If the manufacturers want to call these staionwagons and hatchbacks "crossovers" or "CUV's" that's OK  with me.

The problem with the Journey is that I could see myself saying "ahhh.....thanks anyway" and leaving the showeoom right after I looked inside.....UUUUGLY!
