Both the cabin and air filter are rediculously simple to change.  The only possible problem with the cabin filter is knowing how to release the little rod thing that stops the glove box from falling into your shins.  What you have to do is open the glovebox and then the rod on the right, if I remember correctly, will have a hook on on the top end I believe.  The thing takes a bit of force to get it to pop off, and please do yourself a favour and have something or someone ready to catch the glovebox so it doesn't smash your shin. :)  Emptying the glovebox first is a good idea too. ;)

Thanks! We noticed there were also tutorials on acura zine, and in our manual. Will definietly keep your advice in mind though.

Are Canadian Tire air filters any good? We used them in our other cars...no problems. ???

I'd stay away from CT air fitlers and oil fitlers unless you absolutely have to.  OEM filters are quite good and you will notice they should be very reasonably priced.

Yes, we bought the air filter from our dealership, same with the cabin filter. We do all oil changes at our Honda dealership  (we have a good relationship with them). We have heard horror stories about vehicles that use Motomaster oil filters.  :o :rofl2:

Mine is the same username also. 2hondas.  :)

Damn, are winter tires soft in 5 degree temps and rain. Gotta take it easy.

Its been a week since we got her...about 1000 kms done already.  :)

We put in regular gas on our first tank. Then switched to premium on the rest of the fillups. We noticed throttle response was sharper after a couple of fill ups. Is this what we "think" or is it actually true? ??? I know this car is designed for 91+ octane.

If it indicates it needs 91, put in 91

1000 km and you are on multiple fill ups, it sound worst then my extend cab  :rofl2:
2 tanks will get me 1000 km, and 180 litres

haha, drove to Toronto and back twice, then the rest was city km's.

By filling up multiple times, I don't mean full tanks.  :)

Car has a knock sensor with hysteresis.
