Pontiac Montana 06 rear axle alignment
« on: December 03, 2007, 10:26:03 am »
I have problem with my rear alignment on my Montana causing early tire wear at 40K. The total toe out is -0.17 in. and the max./min. is 0.15 in., -0.15 in. Will this cause tire to wear this soon? And what can be done on a straight axle to correct this? Thank you for any advice you can give

I would suspect if its out too much then yes it can cause early tire wear. Do you know what the specs are for this vehilce as a 4 whl alignment may be in order as a suggestion. A good alignment shop will have this knowledge and it shouldn't be all that expensive to have done if needed.  :)
