Thanks, all. Looking forward to finalizing this thing next week…especially when I had to go out in the crappy weather over the last couple of days.

With respect to pricing/savings questions, it is obviously more difficult to determine when you are talking used vehicles, since there is no MRSP to form the basis of comparison.

However, when comparing apples to apples, I estimate I came out ahead in the area of $7,000 to $9,000 or so. This is for an Acura-certified vehicle, purchased from an Acura dealer, with Navigation, and similar mileage; the lowest price on the Trader.ca today for what appears to be a comparable is just under $33,000, the highest is $37,000. Keep in mind you have to include the GST and PST differentials in any comparison (as well as travel costs, which I have done).

Yes, AB, I could have found an MDX for $25 Cdn in Canada, just like I could have found one for $12K in the US...just wouldn't want to buy it.

I was going to go with MDXtacy as the new handle, but figured that would be in poor taste  ;) Has he come back yet?  ??? :'(

I think you got a awesome price. Plus it's certified. If we were to get an SUV now, the MDX would be top of our list. Although I like the new ones, I think the previous generation (yours) is nicer looking.

No, MD hasn't come back yet. It's sad. I think his old one was MDXstasy, so the one you're proposing is a little different.

Thanks. I like the styling of the old one better, too. The nose of the new one makes me think of gladiators.

Kidding about the name. I'll think of something more original, or keep the tried and true.
