99, any comments about the last couple of steps? Got the clearance letter? No prob with Canadian Tire inspection? How much cost installing the DRL module?

Well done indeed!

It was a bit of a hassle getting the recall letter from Infiniti.  I sent in a request on their website with no response and sent in a fax with no response in 5 days.  I then called the customer care number (the guy was in Hamilton!) and I had the recall letter in minutes.  They said they are getting a lot of requests for these letters.

RIV won't send you the form 2 (inspection form) until you fax them the recall letter.  This was a little tedious because of the Christmas holidays and it took me a couple of days to get it.

I called CT and went in the next morning.  The DRL modification took about an hour and cost about $130.  The inspection is part of the RIV fee.  I went to MTO that afternoon with the paperwork plus a safety inspection form and paid my PST and the process was completed.

I felt a little pressure through this because we were going to Florida on January 5th for a month and I needed to get it complete before I left because you have only 45 days from the date of import to complete RIV.

We drove the car to Florida and it runs like a champ.

Right now I am busy dealing with peeling skin because it is so damn hot and sunny here.  Life's a :censor:!

I JUST PURCHASED A TOWN AND COUNTRY LIMITED DEALER PRICE 47,895 WITHOUT NAVAGATION OR TWO DVD PLAYERS, I saw the same vehicle in Bangor Maine limited for 31.500 with everything in it. This makes me mad that i didn't wait and buy in the states. I cannot believe Chyrsler would call this vehicle a limited but you have to buy the navagation/dvd  for and extra 1545 plus tax. I just venting over this...thank you...Oh yes a couple months later i bought 07 jeep patriot and sent a email to chrysler explaining all this and they said thanks for purchasing your vehicles and we are sending you a gift certificate for $50.00 dollars, big deal.

Only one problem with that.... Good 'ole Chyrsler voids the warranty in both the US and Canada in the case of a Canadian buying a US car and importing it to Canada.

If there's any new car in the world that I wouldn't want to own without a warranty it's a Chrysler ::)

PS...If you wanted Nav and DVD why didn't you order the options? It's not unusual for either of these items to be stand alone options on lots of higher trim levels.
My first ever GM ownership experience  can best be described as   "Fool me once...."
