92$ is tirerack price. Since $ hit parity the only thing we buy locally are gorceries. We are in NY atleast once a month if not more.
I am not sure but this is what i am planning to do:
Call dealers around the border and try to get them near the 92$ price on tire rack (shouldnt be very hard as most of them advertise price match guarantee). Drive there and get the tires changed. Even if it costs me 100$/tire its about 400$.
The local toyota dealer quoted me 175$ for the same tire excluding taxes and the best i could find in Tor/Miss was 139/tire. At the most I will have to pay 7% duty but that i can offset by saying i went to US and bought used tires and show my old tires. Then when its summer, it would be time to make another trip down south and buy alloys and get these tires fitted on them

PS: A friend got a used IS250 and he just got Winter+Alloys for it. The Lexus dealer here quoted 2700$+tax and he got it done in US for 1100$+tax from the Lexus dealer in US.

Yeah $92 is an awesome price, best price i could find in Canada was $139CDN at 1010tires, TireTrends list them at $143CDN, but show old out for the season.

I've got my WS60 16" from the US, paid $88 per tire. Can't really compare to REVO as I never tried Revo. I understand (as someone already said in this thread) that Revo is more performance oriented, so they will be better on dry road but will be less effective on snow and ice. I'm on my WS60 now (2nd day of driving in some snow and ice) and I totally love these tires. I have Dunlop Graspic on my subie and those are good tires too but not anywhere close to WS60. At least that is my impression.

WS60 is like an all out winter tire where as the Revo has a bit more compromise towards dry/wet pavement performance. So WS60 will give you more traction on ice in theory but when it's dry or just wet out it will feel more mushy then the revo.

That's how I understand it. Also WS60 uses that special compound on the top 55% or so while the Revo uses a regular winter compound for the tire. So the WS60 might wear away quicker.

You can consider other tires then bridgestone. There are quality winter tires from other makes. I got Gislaved cause it's suppose to be good and it was at a good price.

Still haven't had a chance to drive in the snow yet. First dump of the season and I had a seminar to go to at UofT so I took the subway.

Both the Revo, and the new Ws60 have the "multi tubular" compound. Both are are a snow/ice tire as opposed to a performance winter. '

We have Revo's on my wife's car, and they really are a fantastic winter tire.
