As I said before....really nice choice. My daughter has had her Tribeca for about 2 months now and is very happy with it. Her Sub came from Maine (Tribeca's wouldn't have been in her price range in Canada) and has slightly less equipment than the Canadian model but is still a very nice car. To her it's pure luxury as it's her first new car and it replaced a 99 Legacy Brighton wagon :)

I know we all have different values and viewpoints but would you mind me asking what led you to choose to buy from SOC vs SOA?

Whoops!,,,,I just reread the thread and see that you leased (answered my own question)

The Sudbury dealer worked on the problem but did not completely eliminate the noise. They contacted SOC and were told that they are working on a solution as I am not the only 2008 with the rattle issue. The issue appears to be the lack of sufficient adjustability of the hatch rubber blocks. The dealer I got the Tribeca found their own solution by adding a shim then adjusting the latch to tighten the seal. I will wait to see what SOC recommends as a fix then go from there.

Same as my 2001 Forester. I thought they could have figured out how to do it correctly by now.  ??? :-\

Hey Snowy, could you give us a bit of a long term update on Becky? I'm curious about your pro's and con's.

Becky is performing as expected but my wife is complaining about the 13.6/100 fuel consumption. We have been on a few long distance trips and I am impressed with the ride and interior ergonomics. After a winter of sandblasting on the local roads the paint is holding up nicely with no frontal chips.

I had to remain persistent on resolving the rear hatch rattle with the local dealer. Subaru Japan has not provided a fix to the problem and SOA and SOC have come up with a solution to stop the noise until new rubber blocks are supplied from Japan. We had to also have the dealer reboot the slushbox to resolve a poor first to second shift. I wish there was more interior sound deadening insulation.
