Becky is finally home
« on: November 21, 2007, 09:18:29 pm »
Nothing too exciting here just another SUV and 99.99% guessed what it was going to be. I took a few quick pics after a rinse at the local wand wash.

We have a few nasty rattles from the rear that perhaps is a result of the hitch install; this will drive me nuts until resolved. >:(

Congratulations, a proper Subaru family.  :) I like the interior a lot.

CONGRATS, Snowy.

And I also guessed correctly.

It's a good looking Tribeca, and the color is neutral enough to be not too much of a car wash magnet.

Was the trailer hitch the accessory that delayed the arrival? I assume you got in the GTA, and not in local territory. Was the GTA dealer willing to be "reasonable" in view of US prices?

As this primarily wifey's ride (right?), I'm sure she will be very happy with it. And it will do the family jobs you need it to do.

Good choice and good for you.

We have a few nasty rattles from the rear that perhaps is a result of the hitch install; this will drive me nuts until resolved.

It's touching the exhaust a wee bit perhaps.  Pry bar time.

Congrats    Good, safe unit.

Thanks all. My wife has given me one week… :)..then I must stop driving it around ??? :( :'(. This is her ride so I need to let her have a chance. :P I took it out to Tim’s this morning while she was in the shower to pick up an XLR and played with the ESC in the fresh snow. There was nothing I could do to go sideways. The HID’s are very bright and I had to play with the levelling switch as not to check other drivers cavities.

We got the Tribeca Limited from Davenport Subaru in Orillia and hitches are on backorder with Subaru. The dealer managed to get one off another dealer so that worked out okay. By waiting for a few weeks the lease price dropped by $130/month as Subaru adjusted for the slow sales by reduced pricing and lowering rates. The US pricing issues has saved me a few $$$$ for sure.

Steve, the rattle is non-metallic sounding and more of a thud ???. The under slung spare is not as tight as it should be and will try to adjust it later today.

Congrats on the new SUV.  I've always liked the way the Tribeca looked and it has functional space you can use in the trunk. Also, makes for a great looking garage with the baby Subie beside it.
A subwoofer should only be noticed once it has been turned off.
