What sort of AWD does your tester have? Is it a proper system, or a slip and grip setup?
I'm assuming it's some kind of full-time AWD, as it's built off of a RWD platform. I thought slip-and-grip was just for FWD? Some of the Porsche 911 C4's are/were (?) reverse Haldex, ie. slip-and-grip mounted backwards so that it is RWD that kicks in FWD.

Nice choice with the Shins!
Looks like an amazing car. The USB thumbdrive for mp3's is a great addition by Caddilac. I have this option on an aftermarket stereo and it's incredibly convenient. The 40 GB hard drive is icing on the cake. Wing, where do you plug in the USB drive? Glove compartment? |

Sorry, this is still a big, ugly, in-your face example of American car design. And what is the obsession with leather? Too hot in summer, too cold in winter; I just can't see any projection of elegance or grace. This is a perfect car for a pimp-wannabe.
No wonder GM is in the doldrums.

You plug the USB thumbdrive into the storage bin in the centre console, perfect place. sirhc, but the Caddy has heated seats for the winter and cooled for the summer. |

Tell the leather thing to any other car manufacturer. I don't like leather either, but many do and there is nothing wrong with it. Any luxury car has leather seats and trim and the CTS is no exception. If GM manages to pull out of the hole they are in, some of the help will come from cars like the CTS. It's not a car for everyone, including me, but for its market it's a nice entry. |

This is going to sound inane, but I really like that analog clock (as opposed to digital)... |

In this application I don't mind it either. It's legible, and somehow pulls off classy without looking gaudy. |

Dang! GM/Lutz went all the way on this one. I've got to see it. I know the 3, A4, IS, G35 don't have leather dash, but do the 5/7, A6/A8 even have it? |

Let me guess! You drive a Honda Civic or a Toyota Corolla. Man if you say it is ugly than you don't have taste at all. |

I think It Is a beautiful looking Cadillac. I just wish I could get my Brother to buy one instead of a beige DTS. I just can't help thinking the BMW is better choice. I could be wrong. My wallet would hurt less In any case, when the car came up for resale. My brother swears by them and says that Cadillacs beat any Imports hands down on long road trips to North Carolina. |

After seeing so many 3s on the road (even coupes now!!), I prefer the edgy design of the CTS more.. no disrespect to the 3s, but there are simply too many!!! |

The looks of the CTS can be a bit polarizing, but at least it's unique. I walk by a black one on campus on a regular basis, and they're just stunning looking vehicles... Tried to convince my parents to look at one, but my mom took one look at the car and turned around. |
