Chrysler's MyGIG communications and entertainment system
« on: November 14, 2007, 08:35:30 am »
As if cell phones and drinking coffee weren't enough to distract drivers.   I just know that the people who will buy this will be the people who drive across the 401 in rush hour in a totally distracted/half asleep/ disinterested way.

But I suppose it DOES suck up all the spare computer power available in the car... although I can imagine losing 10 bhp every time a new entertainment button is pushed  ;)
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Don't most of these things lock out any usage when the car is in motion?

Car manufacturers should be covering themselves.

Otherwise, I agree. Although this might be one step above fiddling with an iPod.

Thanks a lot, Chrysler. It's not bad enough I have to steer clear of iDrive BMWs, now I have MyGig distraction to worry about.  >:D

In car entertainment means out of car chaos.
