First drive: Subaru Impreza STI (Australia & US 2.5 engine)
« on: November 09, 2007, 10:49:21 pm »
First report on the new STi with the 2.5L engine in Australia's CarGuide
http://carsguide.news.com.au/story/0,20384,22734112-5003140,00.html

A little more power than the previous model and somewhat better fuel economy. Whoa and we thought the prices were high here. Yikes 60-70k!!
Enjoy

For some context, at today's exchange rate C$1 = AUS$0.86, still pretty steep though.

To err is human, to blame it on someone else is even more human.

DOH, you're right. :-[

And when I calculated the exchange on AUS$60 000 I did it properly and then posted the rate backwards.

I wonder how much it would cost for shipping?  ;)

Another test-drive.  Both the 2008 STi and the 2008 EVO are so d--- good that it's really become a vanilla-or-chocolate thing.  Personally, I prefer the flavor of the EVO.

C/D has their First drive on the STi up on their site.

Tony Swan reviews the STi http://www.caranddriver.com/previews/14311/first-drive-2008-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti.html

He doesn't seem all too impressed and the review isn't that great. Frankly, I have never been all that impressed with his reviews in the past.

Dewd, if I had no people hanging off my utters and no responsibilities I would consider a BMW :). But only an M, the last think I want is someone in a car half the price making me look bad.
