If car parts pricing is anything like motorcycle parts pricing then BMW actually has unexpectedly reasonable prices for parts.  On the motorcycle side at least, it seems that BMW prices parts quite competitively priced if you are the DIY type, however they then more than make that up in labour charges if you need their mechanics to do anything.

Let's drag this on.  Rubber floor mats for my 2007 civic $158 plus tax at my local dealer and no if an's or but's they would not move on the price.  Order the same mats from a US Honda dealer $78 plus tax plus ground shipping $15. Received the mats last week no duty or brokerage charge cost approx $100 versus the aprprox $180 is would of cost me here.  So why are parts half the price from the US.

The Canadian Honda mats are speciffically designed for the Canadian Climate and are also labled in English AND French. Its a significatn cost to print the word tapis on the carboard thingy that holds the mats together for display. Also if you were to purchase the mats with a new Civic you would be able to take advantage of special financing offer that you cannot get f you buy the mats in the US

I bought Ray Ban polarized sunglasses at a Sunglass Hut in Cleveland...for $50 less than the exact same model # at a Sunglass Hut in Toronto.

Must be the specific market conditions and climate in Canada that make them more expensive...heated nose clip, maybe?  :o ;D

I use them for driving, so this post is car-related  ;)

Dam no french instructions with the US floor mats.  No wonder I cannot figure out how to install them.  My first language is french.
