Pirelli P4 Four Seasons
« on: November 01, 2007, 07:32:53 pm »
Just wondering if Tire Trends will match 1010tires prices on the Pirelli P4 Four Season tires. Tire Trends seems to be anywhere from $20-$40 higher than 1010tires prices, why is that?

Not sure but I think people mentioned that Tiretrends get the tires from the US in bulk but 1010 gets it from the Canadain dealer. So maybe their cost is different. Or maybe they feel people will pay more. Pirelli isn't the only game in town so it's not really a major issue.

No but when your grumpy uncle wants a certain brand and model, you try to find the best deal... ;D

To me the best deal isn't always based on price.

The P4 Four Seasons made it to my short list along with the Yokohama Avid TRZ and Goodyear Assurance TripleTred. I was a bit nervous about this tire because it's new and very few people have reviewed it but they liked it a lot. I originally ordered a set of TripleTreds from the US but the vendor refunded my money because they were out of stock - cost me $36.00 in currency conversion fees from the bank. By the time I got my money back, 1010 Tires dropped the price on the Pirelli's making them the least expensive choice and one of the lowest risk choices because I was dealing with a Canadian vendor. I'm not sure how they get the price. My local Pirelli dealer, who is presumably buying from Pirelli Canada, wants 50% more for the same tires. Anyway, I ordered the P4 Four Seasons from 1010 Tires earlier this week.

You are correct, but I don't have any concerns dealing with 1010tires. They are Canada's largest online Tire and Wheel distributor by far.

TheMAN seems to be working for 1010. It is all he talks about...We match anyone in Canada. I guess P4 is a great tire because it is the one they have a little better price on.

Wrong. I work for Cowel Auto Group in Richmond, BC. Not sure how that matters anyway. Do you post on others posts when they say its cheaper to buy at TireRack, that they must infact work at TireRack.

1010tires is just the easiest to compare against Tire Trends, same province, same products mostly. And they always are the first thing to come up in a google search for a tire or wheel. Seems the obvious choice to compare the w companies and pricing etc.

Ahh...Just seems that all your threads and posts are weighted towards 1010...
