Thanks all. I admit that I was a bit nervous about having a white vehicle, but I am growing more enamoured of the colour everyday. Had a short roadtrip, about 250km, in the beast Monday. Very comfortable on the highway and the best thing in comparison to the Caddy is that I am still on the same tank of gas! The Parrot bluetooth system is working flawlessly with my Treo700, no complaints. Saff, this thing IS big, I can almost lose the kids in the third row......"How are you guys doing back there....It's me, your Dad!" ;D

Did the SRX have the same size tank?

Acadia has 83L fuel tank capacity vs. 76L for the SRX but the SRX weights about 300 Kg less. 6-speed auto and maybe less aggressive gearing help the Acadia fuel economy.

GM sent me a letter yesterday! First one for me and Dockman this might apply to you too. It seems there is a computer software upgrade for the transmission.

"The update that is being made available to you is voluntary and enhances shifting performance. That means you should expect smoother, more responsive shifts with this software update."

After the update they mention that it will take some time for the system to re-learn your driving habits and that your fuel economy may vary. Better or worse? It doesn't say.

Well I guess I'll wander down to the dealer and see what this is all about. I have not tried racing before but maybe I can after they 'flash it'  - Yeah zero to 100 in 12 seconds would be much better that two minutes. Just kidding folks. ;D

Actually it isn't bad now and the other day on the 401 I zipped up to 140 for a brief moment and scared myself - 50 over was close and too easy to get there - I'll have to behave.

The danger in not going back is that that the thread wanders. Sorry DMan - Magnaflow got added and it does add a little 'tude' but not enough to really be warranted so the two rear resonators might be coming off. My son in law (SIL) thinks it just for the noise and not for efficiency. What does he know - he drives a Hyundai! ::)

Got it, thanks. No worries.

The GM/Ford alliance 6-speed auto was criticized for erratic shifting. Glad to see they are working on it
