Boycott all you want, I'm getting my BMW in Canada, and I have my reasons which won't be laid out here.

Boycotts hardly ever, virtually never, work if the product is desirable.

You know what they say about a fool and there money. Especially since according to this BMW will cover the warranty.

Have you done an accurate comparison of equipment?   I don't argue that BMW Canada charges too much but historically BMW USA cars have had less base equipment.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

We should just boycott all of em.   ;D All of them are charging way more than they should in Canada and laughing all the way to the bank.  Us Canadians seem to just roll with it and do nothing when we're getting screwed.

Agreed, there is a large difference between base cars in the US vs a base car in Canada. The base car in Canada has much more equipment standard. I have done the comparisons for my car and they are less than the OP makes out. Of course the US market is cheaper overall, if for no other reason than BMW USA can spread it's overhead over 10 times the population that BMW Canada can. I'm not defending either one, but in my case, Canada is where I am buying.

:iagree: once they have the same equipment price is not that much difference
Also the maintence part of warranty is not covered in Canada
A used BMW is a good ideal in the States
