The old girl gets new boots
« on: September 22, 2007, 07:51:00 pm »
My Wife has had the Escape Limited since new, July 2003. So far she has 91K on it and no problems whatsoever.
I changed the original Continental Contacts out today for these Pirelli Scorpion STR P235/70/16. On sale at OK Tire for $125 a piece + balance $10.00. Good deal.
The conti's were wearing like iron but loud and thumpy at 91K.

Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Nice Boots Railton and they look very good on that vehicle as well. I have used Pirrellis on My Seville for many years and do like the handling and road feel of them. They should ride good and give you many years of good service as well.  :)

Definitely quieter over the Continentals. That’s what I was after. The Continuous central rib will offer better handling and stability for sure as well.  They are M&S rated but we’ll wait and see how they perform in the snow… what little snow we get here in Southern Ontario.
