You've already got a spouse; you don't need ask about your finances.  Frankly, I don't give a s--- how you paid for it.  Not my business.

That's one hell of a sweet car.  I hope you like it!  I've ridden in a co-worker's 530xi wagon, and it's an incredibly nice car.

What sort of transmission does yours come with?

I doubt anybody knows besides his buddy, his wife, and himself.  But the real big news is, he's owned 11 previous BMW's....I haven't owned 11 vehicles regardless of make.

You will, I have not the slightest doubt - if you live to be as OLD as Ovr.  Shocked Grin Grin

Let's see, 13 years of owning cars, and in that time, I've had/have 10 vehicles.  Assuming I can keep this pace up (0.77 cars per year), when I reach 60, I would have gone througn an additional 22 cars, bringing my total to a paltry 32 cars.

Thats an über bimmer. Very very nicely equipped.

Somehow, I read Alpine White as Alpina, that'd be cool.

Yep, won't make it at that rate, I'm 63 so 47 years since 16 and Car #55 is ordered - that's 1.17/yr by my math.....need to pick up the pace there, MD. OTOH, maybe you'd like your marriage to last, and your children to have a college fund... Huh Wink Grin

Sorry, forgot to mention -  Tongue I'm getting the Steptronic 6 speed auto with "Drive" and "Sport" modes. Can shift the Sport mode manually but no paddles on the xi.

No Euro delivery?

Not this time, but would be very fun to do.... Smiley

Should also mention current BMWs come with 4yrs/80Ks of scheduled maintenance included in the purchase price. That is the warranty period, and additional can be bought up to the expiry of that time, and I may do that, given the nature of the beast.

Will it be Toyota reliable? Nope. Will it be more fun to drive? YEP.

Wow!  Shocked Very nice - congrats!

The 535 seems like a better choice than the 7xx, anyway. As nice as it is, the 7-series strikes me as a bit of an old man's car. You're not there yet, right ovr?  Wink Maybe for your next BMW.  Grin

What a journey you have taken us on Ovr. Through the years you always seem to amaze and also inspire a little envy too, I might add.

This change is very nice. I think you are really going to enjoy this car and I'm sure we will also enjoy your log while you do. I'm not a fan of white cars, but I'll put up with yours, only because you are far enough away that I won't see how dirty it gets!

Yesterday I was beside the same car in black and thought how nice it was - very classy. Years ago I wanted to go for a 540 and should have. Hindsight and all and now with retirement coming soon, I may not get the chance - which means your adventures help ease the pain.

Good on you and hopefully she comes before Christmas. Thumbs up Thumbs up Beer

Sorry about the envy thing - I'm not trying to do that at all. This whole deal would never have occurred at all without my friend. He made it happen for me, and I am very grateful to him.  #1

Don't things happen in threes?  TV, BMW....??

Congrats and I love the colour choice also.  If we won the lotto I think I would replace the 6-wgn with the 535xiT...I can just imagine how great that car drives on the hwy.

Can't wait for the pics and drive reports.  Thumbs up

How is it possible that after electricity has traveled through hundreds of miles of power line then hundreds of feet (or yards) of romex in our home, that changing the last three feet of wire with something exotic, expensive (cool looking, and packaged in a pricey box) is going to make a difference?
