  It's the best car in that segment no question with the 1.8 with 5 speed auto.  I'd get it Krowned soon even if you only do it once.  I'd also spring for 35% tint on all side windows and 20% rear.

Thxs :)

The aerial is built in the back window, so you can't tint the rear window, B/C it mucks up the radio reception,

No??? Mmmmm I heard on some mod sites it does, good to know, although I'm not sure why I should tint my car windows, but something to think about. :)

Its a very nice looking car. Enjoy.

I didn't notice any problem with radio reception after the tint application on my car. Go for it, gives it a look.

Very nice!  Swoopy isn't a word that can be used too often when describing sedans, but it works in this case.

Thanks Guys.

I love a clean engine. no oil or muck of any kind, althought you can't see if the washer bottle needs a top up, plus I discovered that they forgot to push in the dip stick for automatic transmisson about a day or so latter....

Nice car.  The wife drives our 2006 LX and she loves it.  Get's great mileage too... she's getting around 7L/100 in mixed driving.

Nice choice. Girlfriend recently bought a 07 Civic LX. Nice little car, even nicer fuel economy. She's getting 6.5 or so by manual calculations, mixed driving.

Only bad points are the lack of a manual shift mode (can be useful, not exactly the torquiest car), and the fact that the 08 gets some nice feature bumps (depending on what you want).

This is really a wonderful car, too bad it's so expensive here, more than 70K for the LXS version, the EXS would easily cross the 80k barrier. I would love to replace my old 2000 Civic with this one...

Here in Brazil we have a Flex Fuel version of the Civic, actually, only the flex fuel 1.8L i-Vtec is available. Our EXS version features 5-speed AT with paddle shift.

$70k Brazil Reals = $38.5k Canadian roughly.

And we complain about Subaru of Canada!

$38.5k Canadian roughly.

But that's with tax included; so not that far off the end Canadian price.  :)

Didn't notice that he said tax-in anywhere ???

In any case, a LX Civic with a bit of haggling ends up around $25k after tax doesn't it? So a 50% premium in Brazil assuming that $70K BRL is tax in. I'm sure interest rates could easily be different down there, who knows what that would do to the effective cost.

70K in local coin. But currency exchange doesn't apply here, salaries in R$ in Brazil are similar or lower to those in CAD$ in Canada, if you have to spend 70k in a car, it doesn't matter what coin it's, that's still 70K. That goes without saying that APRs here are huge compared to those in Canada. R$ 70K would be something like CAD$ 38K doing the exchange.

A fair example, my 2000 Civic costed me R$ 26K. My net income is lower than R$ 4K. So, with the same money in CAD$ I would be able to get a newer and far upscaled car, even a brand new car. With 26K here in Brazil is possible to get a brand new car, but I woudn't call a car without PW, PL, PM, Power steering, A/C, airbags a good deal, that's why I got the Civic...

Nice the fancy one.

I'm getting around 600-650 Clicks a tank around town $39 to fil at 109

I'm pleased with mine, the 08 DX-G, now adds cruise, which is nice. but I rarely drive up and down the highway e-nuff for me to miss that.

Took me while to get use to the digtal dash, I was always watching the clock and could never keep it steady but now 4,500 that not issue.

I've learn quickly how to not make the Civic pause. B/C sometimes if you come up to a corner quickly it pauses for brief moment less than a second. while it works out what to do next.

My only complaint was I found a little pricey.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Take home 4,000, and the car is 26,000. That is 6.5 times. Are the numbers right about your take home money?

Yeap, that's right, less than R$ 4K per month.

Meow, lemme get this right. 600/650 km per tank, considering that you can fill up with 39 bucks at 109 each litre, that leads to 35 litre on each fill up. So, doing 600 km with 35 litres is like 5,8L/100km, am I missing something?? If not, HELL that's a great mileage.
