Well, should be an interesting week for you then. I can't imagine a car I would rather have less than a new Beetle vert....we'll see.

I Agree  Nothing says estrogen like the New Beetle.  Wink

God....I hate that it has that stigma!!  Just think of it as a rounded out 911!!   Wink

It's part of the territory BJ.....Wink

I agree, you are free to pick, but you must have known it is a car with a "identity problem"??

Enjoy it - don't worry about what others say (even if we shout it).  Grin Grin

Oh...I knew about the identity problem, but I didn't care.  I enjoy the New Beetle for what it is; a competent German engineered car with lots of character.  Any enthusiast should realize that!!   Grin Wink

This should be a fun week, wind in your hair and all that. I always want a convertible, but I never been brave e-nuff to buy one. I wonder how long it takes to put the roof up and down, that is the secret with convertible is how easy is the roof to put up and down.

I think the Beetle looks great, I Just wish the roof top was black not beige.

You can also order the vert with a black fabric roof and black interior if I am not mistaken.

Do the new ones really have a cult like following? The old ones sure but the new ones?

VW really should have made the flower vase optional - would have gone along way to appealing a bit more to men.

You can easily remove the vase.

The vase is removable.  You just have cover up the hole or put something else in its place.

There are some diehard New Beetle owners who meet in Roswell, New Mexico once a year.   In the early days, New Beetle owners used to wave at each other.

Ah so it removable. I didn't realize there was such a following for them. Seems odd coming from British cars where we bond with tales of break downs, restoration and duck tape roadside repair.
