Blah blah blah blah.....blah blah blah blah......

You could just start your very own "won't they ever stop talking about how much cheaper it is in the US?" thread and have your very own party there.

I guess this whine and cheese party is only for the people who don't take action but would rather just sit and complain.

Hey, did you all know that the car prices down in the US are CHEAPER than in Canada?  With the dollar at such a high, we are being taken advantage of.  This is not fair.  We are being ripped off.  The car companies should price their cars to reflect the strong dollar.   Tongue

Hey, all... I just read this great article about how cars in Canada are more expensive than they are the U.S. Something about manufacturers being delinquent about reacting to the strong Canadian dollar:

http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/cc/price_diff.htm

Hope you like it as much as I did!

ROFL  So now we have to feel sorry for car companies because they were losing money when the dollar was low?     I'm sure they were not making money on their cars then.  Roll Eyes  They were making it their duty to sell it at a nice price then...are people buying those PR BS charity answers?  Really?  Fall

Sure it's a nice answer but no company keeps selling cars for years here and accept to lose money.   They were making money...not a lot but they were still making some.  Now?  They are laughing to the bank...

MD, what is your point in making multiple posts that have nothing to do with the topic other than to show contempt for it? Why don't you just ignore it? You're a moderator aren't you? If the thread violates some board rules just close it. It's a very interesting phenomenon that forum regulars always feel a need to post in every thread even if it's just to say they have nothing to say.

Its pretty simple.

1. Yes we pay more and it sucks.
2. Car companies set pricing to make maximum dollars. 2 cars at a 2000 profit or 4 cars at a 1000 profit still = 4K profit.
3. Unless something happens to impact point 2 (decline in overall sales or large enough shift to US importation to cause a major Canadian dealer/s to squawk) there is 0 reason to change the status quo.

Vote with your $$s.

The only thing that does bug me is the huge load of crap car companies try to feed us about why the pricing difference. I understand its not in their best interest to come out and say "SUCKERS we'll gouge you for every $ if you don't like it try importing from the US." but I frankly find the crap they spew more insulting than the truth.

No rules violated.  Just the same old same old all the time....blah blah blah.  It gets rather old.  Unless you've lived under a rock and just recently come up for some air and sunshine, everybody and their dog knows about it....do a search and read up on what's already been said.  None of the new posts have contributed anything new.  Complain for the sake of complaining.  Grow up people.

You seem to have a real problem with people discussing this issue and keeping out in public view. Do you work in the auto industry?

Yes.  I am afraid somebody will pay less for their car than I paid for mine.  That's why I don't want all you guys to sit here and talk about it.   Roll Eyes Tongue Kiss

I have no problems with the topic, just the constant running around in circles by everybody.....atleast introduce a new concept or a new arguement.  Beating a dead horse over and over can't be all that fun now can it?

Metacognition : Thinking about thinking :: Metacomplaining : Above post

I agree with Cord - complaining about people complaining about the price difference is nearly as old as complaining about the price difference itself. On the other hand, people have full right to do both....and to meta-metacomplain. Roll Eyes Wink

Hold on, let me get this straight. Complaining about complaining about complaining about prices.  Thinker

Let's stay on topic eh?  Everybody in this entire thread is a one trick story.  Same thing over and over....no exceptions.   Roll Eyes  There's got to be something different to say about this issue.  I have nothing constructive to add to this thread because in all honesty, I really don't care if prices in the US are more than in Canada.  Why?  If I deem the Canadian prices too high, I'll go south to buy one.  What I do want to do is challenge all these 'complainers' to find something different to say.
