Yep, it's an option... it's called a mesh grill here and a sport grill in the US.  Even at the steep price, I think it's worth it as it makes the front end look MUCH better.

A trip to home depot for some chicken mesh $8. a can of spray pain $5. UnKia-fied Subaru..... Priceless.

Wow, the White WRX Sedan looks very nice. BUT the World Rally Blue one doesn't though...WRB definitely kills the look of the sedan.
