New rims for the S
« on: July 29, 2007, 07:02:10 pm »
Got another set of rims and tires for the S, finally had a chance to mount them.  Volk CE28N's with Advan A048 Medium Hard compound R's.

Nice and light, 13.5lbs a corner.

Looks very nice. I don't need to suggest an aggressive look.  :)

Don't they break easily?  Serious. They are so light that they had issues with breaking. Maybe it's a different brand I'm thinking about but I thought it was Volk.

Not that I have heard, many guys use these rims for tracking without issues.  They are forged rims I believe hence the lightness.  At $3500 for a set they better not break!

No, that's new, I paid less I couldn't bring myself to buy them new.  But lucky me there isn't a scratch on these!

High quality lightweight rims are not cheap.....especially when you get into some larger rim diameters.
