Does this mean it's OK for me to drive my car tomorrow?  ???  I've been so worried since reading the article.  :foil: :foil: ;D

It is ok.  You just have to avoid collisions with much larger vehicles.  :)

most deaths seamed to be side impact, thats how i read it.

when you look at the list in this context, 3 star doesn't look that bad.

5 Stars = 10 percent or less chance of injury
4 Stars = 11-20 percent chance of injury
3 Stars = 21-35 percent chance of injury
2 Stars = 36-45 percent chance of injury
1 Star = 46 percent or greater chance of injury

Forbes should stop writing car-related stories before they embarrass themselves.

Methinks those horses are long gone. :rofl2:

No doubt....that pony has long gone.....it's now about how badly they've embarrassed the Forbes name.  Stupid article written by writers who know dick

In their case, that would be Cheney.  :rofl2:

Also gotta ask:  Is Accident avoidance abilities> crashworthiness or is it the other way around?

If we're talking frontal impacts, I'd say that accident avoidance is more important.  If we're talking side impact, crashworthiness, because there's very little you can do to avoid being T-boned (most people never see it coming, and very often you're not in a situation where you can brake or accelerate enough to avoid the accident).

Also, with side-impacts, side belts don't do a lot, so the structural integrity of the vehicle and its airbags matter a lot.  Seat belts do most of the work in a frontal impact.

What unites us is far greater than what divides us." -- John F. Kennedy, addressing Canadian Parliament.

That's a lack of proper training.

According to the latest NB stats, 64% of fatal accidents in the province are single vehicle. The T-bone issue seems to be more about fear mongering and marketing ( I have 4 airbags, well I have 6,.. oh yeah? Well I have eight) than anything else.

Totally agree.

Most T-bones are caused by someone running a light.  A simple check before entering an intersection will greatly reduce your chances of being a victim.

Wonder what wing and Mr. Fuzz will say when they see their cars on the list?

I didn't see my car on the list...But if it was, I'd say whatever. I've seen dead people in small cars, I've seen dead people in big cars. When your time is up, it's up. C'est la vie.

Sorry, for some reason I had the impression you drove a Mazda3.  Me bad, take me away, far away..........

But not close enough.  Its like someone saying I drive an XTrail rather than the Pathfinder.  Good vehicles both (3 and X) but not what you and I drive.  Sorry for the confusion on my part.
