Out with the old, in with the older
« on: July 18, 2007, 10:30:51 pm »
This has been in the works for several months now but I've finally gone and done it. the 2001 RAV4 is gone.

My new car is in the garage. It has a bigger engine :), has more power :D, drives the rear wheels only ;D, it needs work :-\. It is a 1993 Nissan 240SX.

These pictures will have to do for a week or so since the car looks like crap at the moment and I won't have time to clean it up and make it presentable till then. First, the only picture I have of the now departed RAV4.

To err is human, to blame it on someone else is even more human.

And will be more fun, Wolfe, as you know.... ;) ;D

Do you plan to make the 240SX a modded screamer, or just a daily driver?

Either way, a good project.  ;D

Congrats!  Was that the last year of the FR platform?

Indeed, it will be tons more fun to drive. ;D

There will be no mods. It'll just be a daily driver for the next year or so.

Congrats.  Have fun cleaning, polishing and waxing.

It will require a fair bit of work to bring it back to decent condition. I spent over an hour just getting the old licence plates off as they had been on the car since it left the dealership 14 years ago. It's been somewhat neglected over the last few years.

Congrats!  Was that the last year of the FR platform?

The 240SX was sold in NA until 1998 IIRC.

Sorry Fuzz, it's dark out now. ;)

The car hasn't been washed in at least 3 years. Trust me it's gross. But to tide you over this is a sample of what it looks like:

Congratulations Wolfe!!!!!

I really love the looks of the 240SX.  We had even considered buying one a long time ago, but we didn't have much money then, so decided against it. I had no idea it was rear wheel drive or anything, haha! My husband just loved its looks, and so did I.

What is stopping you two from buying one now?  :)

Aaahhh, too many cars initial, too many cars... There are too many cars I'd love to get now.

I think I may do an "initial_D move" down the line and end up with more cars than people in the household.  ;)  Husband will do this :bang: to me, but oh well... Thinking NB Miata maybe...
