I live near Winnipeg.  My 02 Accord has 112,000 km.  I plan on changing the timing belt and tensioner belt.  Should water pump and power steering and AC belts also be changed at the same time?  When should hoses be changed?  Thank you.

the water pump should be done with the timing belt .. belt and hoses should be inspected for deterioration and replaced as required

Assuming you have the 4 banger  :bang:  you should purchase the complete T-belt KIT as a package plus a water pump as suggested.

. . . .  considering we will be putting on heavy mileage on a winter vacation - should the hoses be done with the timing belt or are hoses good for several hundred kms??

We did the hoses on our Mystique (all 10 of them  :o :o, what was Ford thinking  ??? ) at 5 years.  I was in the shop when they took the lower rad hose off and although it looked and felt fine from the outside, the build-up of slime/sludge on the inside was amazing.  Must have reduced the effective cross section by 20-30%.  So I was glad we did it when we did.

And yes, it had the coolant changed every 2 years, must be something to do with the water here  ;D

So now I am thinking the Pathfinder should get done, and see what it looks like.

Hoses seem to expire with time more than mileage.  If your going to keep the car another 5 years then you might as well get them both changed.  Keep the old ones in with the spare tire (cram them in somewhere).  I've seen new hoses split in a year so good to have a spare if your traveling.  Heater hoses should be changed by year ten.
