It worked perfectly for me for the first 6 months; I've got 35% off. It was even more then they promised. But then the gadget stopped working, it reported "no data" every time I tried to upload (I stayed with them for 4 6-mo periods). So they gave me no discount, and their technical support was horrible. I had to ship the gadget back to them; they checked it and found no problem. I plugged it back in, but there was no data at the next upload window...
I don't mind the gadget because I never speed and drive responsibly. But I can't use my ScanGauge at the same time because the OBD-II slot is occupied. If the gadget worked, then I'd stay with Elite, but they couldn't fix that, so I'm switching to RBC.
BTW, they're pretty generous regarding speeding. You're allowed driving 5% of the total time at the speed over 120km/h before the penalty begins to kick-in. They don't care about speeds lower then that.
They also record hard acceleration and brake events.

::) I would be toast on the first day. I would rather pay $500/year up front so I can speed. :)

$500 could cover a timing belt and water pump change.   Hmm...do you have the discipline to drive responsibly?
