Detailing Tips (I'm Bored)
« on: June 09, 2007, 04:14:03 pm »
Thought it would be an idea to post some detailing/cleaning tips you use that other people might not think of. This is something I do since I'm to cheep to buy gloves.

Anyone that cleans their wheels/rims with a dedicated sponge knows your hands can get very dirty and its not easy to take off with normal soap.

What I like to do is put my hand inside a plastic grocery bag. Then pickup the sponge after that. Your hands will still get wet but the dirt will stay on the bag.

Good Idea.  I use a tooth brush to clean my wheels.

Getting your hands dirty is proof you did the work. Hard to get sympathy for the effort extended from the other half if the hands don't tell the story - especially if it comes from her car! ;D ::)

As much as I try to avoid it... I always get my hands and nails FULL of dirt and so do my guys that work for me. Its inevitable.. unless you buy the blue disposable gloves and toss'em after each use. You can do one of two things really -invest in some rubber gloves, or invest in a good nail brush and family pack of soap lol ;D
