On some vehicles they do sound good but on the majority of them the name is correct. I would rather have a set of 3" pipes with the sound of a V8 coming out as to me thats the sweetest sound their is.  :)

Aside from the noise of most of them, it's the look that really turns me off.

If the diameter of the exhaust system is only 2 1/2" or 3" for its entire length, how on earth can adding a 6" diameter coffee can at the very end have any effect on performance?  ???

Don't get me wrong: I'm sure Sideshow's new exhaust sounds great and offers some performance improvement. I just think the huge can on the back is a bit over the top. All IMHO, of course.  ;D

AFAIK, it doesn't offer any performance gains, I never claimed any.  I just like the sound of the boxer engine.

P.S. It's not loud, just burbley!  ;D
