Summer Mod No. 1
« on: June 05, 2007, 04:02:28 pm »
Did this a while ago but only just took pics:

Before:

After:

The standard exhaust was quiet, and was corroded.  So I replaced it with a larger one, now it has that true Subaru burble!!

 ;D ;D ;D

At first I thought you bought a new camera with zoom  ;)

Nothing like good sound of the Subaru burble
A subwoofer should only be noticed once it has been turned off.

Ouch. ;D  Bob I guess you didn't know what those things are called in Canada, but Ovr's right. They have also been called Dumpsters and neither one is a sign of affection.

Over (Ovr) here they are usually worn the the Wannabees - the Cool Crowd and the Pretenders. Your redeeming grace is that you actually have it on a car that is designed for performance - built in and not added on. ;D ;D

Yours would not be 'SBD' and you can chew on that one. ::)

Ha ha, I know it's a fart can!  :P ;D :)

But they come as standard here on the latest STi and Evo IX, it was from a Subaru dealer as I loved the sound of the latest cars as they were shifting them about, mine was too quiet.  The boxer engine sounds great though, the only four-pot to sound good through an exhaust like this.

   They sure do, when I hooked up with CUT two years back he heard me coming before he could see me……. He thought it was a Porsche coming. That was my 2002 WRX with MRT exhaust.
A proper aftermarket exhaust on a WRX boxer engine is a pleasant sound.

On some vehicles they do sound good but on the majority of them the name is correct. I would rather have a set of 3" pipes with the sound of a V8 coming out as to me thats the sweetest sound their is.  :)

Thats exactly what i am running with the 3" pipes hanging on the end for a short ways only. Maybe 20-30  years from now when the Acadia is just starting to get a wee bit tired they might help it out then.  :) ;D
