You may discuss our cover story of the day in this thread....
Test Drive:
2007 Subaru Outback 3.0R Premier Edition

2007 Subaru Outback 3.0R Premier EditionPremier Edition
The top model in the Outback line-up, the Premier Edition includes a navigation system, dual glass sunroof, and vehicle stability control reports Editor-in-Chief, Greg Wilson.  "The Premier Edition is more like a luxury car than a utility vehicle," he says.  "You wouldn't want to throw your muddy soccer gear in the back seat."  The six-cylinder engine is "smoother and quieter" than the available turbocharged four-cylinder engine, he notes.

Let me get a go first, Canadian prices are too darn expensive!  ROFL

Is the 3.6R on the way, or maybe on the next generation?

WAY TOO expensive.  $45,000+?  I have to even consider it at $35,000 let alone $45k.

Way to many other good cars in that price range to make this work. Resale value will be bad methinks.

The LGT Wagon is a better option IMO but when I drove the 3.0R I drove it pulled very nicely. The pricing established by SOC is and why I mostly see 2.5i’s running around.

$31,495US = $37,164CDN.

Once again, Subaru goes $10K too high.

Once again if you live close to the border and want a Legacy or Outback then buy from the US like I did.  That extra savings of $9,000 (easily) - $11,000  plus and a few days doing the paperwork is well worth it.

...if you live close to the border...

Like about 90% of Canadians.  SOC are morons.

You'd have to be nuts to pay 46K+ for one of these when a US 3.0 LLBean edition is nearly 12,000 less in Cdn funds. Just how stupid does Subaru Canada think we are?
